Jann Stuckey MP - Community is Everything - April 6th
Jann Stuckey and her family moved to Currumbin Waters from Adelaide 30 years ago and she has lived in the electorate ever since. Together with husband Richard, Jann operated a small business for many years and understands the difficulties faced on a daily basis, especially when it comes to red tape.
Elected as Member for Currumbin in 2004, Jann is well-known for her platform of strong community representation and consultation. Being out and about in the electorate, holding regular listening posts and conducting electorate–wide surveys gives Jann a clear understanding of what matters most to residents.
Jann was awarded the first Life Membership of the Creek to Creek chamber together with Roger Campbell for her 20 years of support.
Currently in her 5th term as the member for Currumbin Jann has gained invaluable experience across a variety of portfolios and parliamentary committees, serving as Minister for Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and Commonwealth Games in the 2012 LNP Government.
This morning she joins us to talk about her aspirations for the Currumbin electorate, the challenges and life as a politician. Please join us for what will be a very informative breakfast and a chance to hear from the person behind the politician.
