July 2015 Breakfast
Many of you will be aware of the current public consultation on the proposed ILS. Several of our members already live under the everyday flight path of the planes bringing our valued tourist to the Gold Coast and some of you may have been affected by the disruption caused by the poor weather when planes can’t land here at the Gold Coast. This will be an opportunity to find out the true stats behind how many planes may need to use the revised flight path each year, and the impact on the number of tourist diverted each year now without the ILS, either at the start or end of their holiday. As the Sixth largest international airport in Australia it is vital that we get ILS. Remember that all of your views on the ILS, both positive and negative form a part of the consultation. So come to this breakfast, and get a better understanding of the issues before making an informed submission. The Airport recently held their annual Stakeholder meet and greet and it was great to see firsthand their plans to expand the airport. These details will also be on the agenda at our July meeting. See you there!
