March Breakfast with Kate Jones Minister for Innovation & Tourism Industry Development and Minister for the Commonwealth Games
We are thrilled to have Kate Jones, the Minister for Innovation and Tourism Industry Development and the Commonwealth Games in the Queensland Government, as our main speaker on March15.
Kate served as Minister for Education during the first term of the Palaszczuk Government and also served as Minister for Environment and Natural Resources in the Bligh Government. She was elected to the seat of Ashgrove in 2015, having previously held the seat between 2006 and 2012.
Kate attended Kelvin Grove State High School and completed a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Journalism at the Queensland University of Technology and a Masters in Environmental Law at Australian National University and lives in Ashgrove with her husband, Paul, and their two children.
She is committed to growing Queensland’s tourism industry and driving investment in hotels and tourist attractions to create jobs and boost local economies. We look forward to Kate giving us the latest update on preparations for the Commonwealth Games and developments in her portfolio and their impact on the Southern Gold Coast.
