July 2019 SandTunes Information Breakfast

This proposed event is scheduled for two days on Coolangatta Beach Sat 30th Nov & Sun 1st Dec, with some 35,000 ticket holders expected to be attending each day. The SGC Chamber is actively seeking your views on this proposed event and invites you to join us for breakfast at the Coolangatta Surf Club to learn more on Thursday 11 July.

The Chamber sees the Breakfast as an opportunity to discuss the positive and negative impacts of such a large scale event on the local business community. We recall only too well the challenges that many businesses experienced from the 2018 Commonwealth Games and The Drop 2019 was a recent event which took all the bad parts of the Games and repeated them.

The more informed voices we can add to this conversation the better to ensure that the views of local business are heard and the mistakes of previous large scale events are addressed for the proposed SandTunes music festival.

Guest speakers will be confirmed in the coming weeks and the event organisers, TEG Dainty have been invited to provide a representative at the Breakfast. Please join us in what promises to be a very informative morning on an event which will impact business on the Southern Gold Coast.
