Currumbin RSL ANZAC Day Event
Speaker: Michael Humphreys – President, Currumbin Palm Beach Sub Branch
Michael Humphreys has been President of the Currumbin Palm Beach Sub Branch and Chairman of the Currumbin RSL since 2018.
The event will focus on the activities that Currumbin RSL has planned for ANZAC Day 2023 and what is involved in pulling this event together. Also discussed will be the Walk 4 Remembrance as well as the services provided through the Veteran Support Centre.
April is “ANZAC month” for Currumbin RSL and in the lead up to ANZAC Day they use this time as an opportunity to shine the spotlight on the many issues faced by our veteran community and ways that we can support them.
The Currumbin RSL ANZAC Day Dawn service is nationally televised and provides a platform for commemoration and remembrance of those who served and died in all wars and conflicts.
Another initiative is the Walk 4 Remembrance. Set along the beautiful beachfront of the Southern Gold Coast, this event is an opportunity for the community to come together, support each other and raise awareness to those veterans who have lost their lives from the battle within, break the silane on mental illness and contribute to the funding of programs that are making a difference to veteran’s lives.
Programs such as those delivered by the Ron Workman OAM Veteran Support Centre.
