Prof Darshana Sedera, Southern Gold Coast University
Darshana Sedera is a Professor of Information Systems and the Associate Dean of International and Engagement at the Faculty of Business, Law, and Arts at Southern Cross University. He has published over 200 articles in major refereed journals and conferences. Prior to joining Southern Cross, he served as a professoriate staff at Monash University, Queensland University of Technology, and Swinburne University.
Jennine Tax, Executive Director of Education for Experience Gold Coast
Jennine Tax grew up and studied on the Gold Coast and is passionate about this city, particularly when it comes to education. Her previous roles include Director of Business and Communications for the Global Property Division at ABN AMRO in London and leading the Management Consulting offering at KPMG Gold Coast.
It was while working at KPMG that Jennine first became familiar with Study Gold Coast as one of her clients. Later she joined the organisation as Head of Partnerships and Trade, and then Acting CEO, before taking on her new role as Executive Director, Education within Experience Gold Coast.
Jennine is particularly excited about the creation of Experience Gold Coast with a unified strategy to promote the city’s arts, culture, education, tourism and events to advance the Gold Coast’s profile on the world stage through exceptional experiences.
Fundraising for Fight 4 Youth
Local charity Fight 4 Youth, founded in 2015 by Leisa Logan, supports approximately 350 young people every week. Fight 4 Youth runs early intervention and preventative programs for young people at risk of disengaging from education and entering the youth justice system. This organisation relies on volunteers and donations to provide this vital service in our local community.
At our July Breakfast, all proceeds from raffle ticket sales will be donated to charity Fight 4 Youth, so please dig deep on the day for this amazing organisation!
