Marion has an impressive track record in business and aviation domestically and abroad. Since joining QAL, Marion has held a variety of senior roles including her current position as Chief Operating Officer where she manages the day-to-day operations of QAL group airports, and is overseeing the transformational Gold Coast Airport terminal expansion. Marion worked at Atlanta and Sydney airports during the 1996 and 2000 Olympics and was in Glasgow during the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Marion has strong ties to the community and is a past Trustee with the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital Foundation, chair of Placemakers* Gold Coast (hosts of Bleach* Festival) and sits on the advisory board for Study Gold Coast.
Chris and Tim will be speaking about the newly launched Gold Coast Business (GCB) Portal. The GCB Portal is an automated resource sharing portal designed to help businesses manage and leverage capacity fluctuations. The portal has been launched by BenchOn, in partnership with the City of Gold Coast, to help local businesses become more resilient, create more opportunities and strengthen the local economy.

Chris comes to the City of Gold Coast after having been most recently engaged in management roles within the Human Services sector, both Aged Care and Disability. Prior to this he spent 16 years in the Corporate sector, specifically in Business Development and B2B support for leading multinational firms.
Chris’ motivation to join the City of Gold Coast is to leverage that experience and network to help assist local Gold Coast business navigate the many pathways open to them for support that the Council and its partners provide. It is his intention to help local business grow and prosper on the Gold Coast by drawing upon the resources of the City, its talented team and the many networks and partnerships available.
