The importance of small business to the Gold Coast Economy
With over 70,000 businesses registered for GST on the Gold Coast and countless more that are smaller, one of the key drivers for the Gold Coast economy is small and medium business (SME’s).
May is Queensland Small Business Month, so what better way to recognize the importance of the small business operators, many of whom are family enterprises, than at our Breakfast event at Coolangatta Surf Club on Thursday May 11th.
We are excited to have two great speakers share their unique insights, Dominique Lamb (the recently appointed Queensland Small Business Commissioner) and Dean Gould Chief Marketing Officer, Southern Cross University.
Please join us for a delicious hot breakfast at one of the best locations on the Gold Coast for what promises to be an informative and positive morning.
Speakers:
Dominique Lamb was appointed as the Queensland Small Business Commissioner in Dec 2022
Formerly as the CEO of the NRA, Dominique played an integral role in the development of the federal leasing code throughout the COVID lockdown period with industry organisations representing landlords and tenants.
Recently, the QSBC helped design the Queensland Government’s small business study, the small business survey, and the upcoming Understanding Migrant Small Business Research project.
