2021 AGM Breakfast
There was a formal element to the morning as the Chamber held its annual AGM and we also had a couple of special guest speakers with insightful presentations on topics relevant to all Businesses and were joined by Karen Andrews MP.

Our friends at Timezone Coolangatta provided the setting for our June After Dark event, welcoming around 75 members and guests for a night of games, drinks and food.

We all had a great night at the Kirra Beach Hotel. The food they put on was excellent, we can't thank them all enough, including Greg, Julie, Drew, Peggy and the team there for helping us put together what we hope will be the first of many joint events.

We enjoyed a sumptuous buffet style breakfast prepared by the Hospitality Faculty & Students, while Chris Capra outlined his vision for how businesses and schools can work together to make a better community.

We were fortunate to be able to bring an update on the progress of the Coolangatta / Kirra Core Business Masterplan project by Patrick Duigan, a City Place Making Officer from the City of Gold Coast, including site analysis completed and feedback from stakeholders who have attended recent workshops, as well as having Councillor (Cr) Gail O’Neill assist in the running of the morning breakfast.
2015 August Breakfast
The Chamber was pleased to welcome Karen Andrews MP, Parliamentary Secretary and Federal Member for McPherson as our August speaker. Karen addressed the meeting and discussed the needs of small business, NBN and the recent announcement that areas of the electorate would now be getting NBN in the next scheduled roll out. She also spoke about the need to upskill our school leavers, and the place that science and innovation has in the future of the Gold Coast and Australia.
2015 July Breakfast
Our July speaker was Charles Martin, Charles joined Gold Coast Airport in April 2008 as General Manager Commercial after a 26 year career with Qantas Airways.
2015 June Breakfast
In June we welcomed two great speakers from the Qld Police. Acting Inspector Chris Adhern spoke to us about his career and his current role as Senior Sergeant, Officer in Charge of Palm Beach Police Division, where he is in command of 40 officers and responsible for the delivery of policing services to a population of 50,000 people across a 108 sq kilometre area. Then we heard from Polair with Senior Constable Robert Finlay. Robert told us how the QLD Polair arm was established.
