Chamber Leaders Out and About
In August, our chamber leaders have been actively engaging with the community, solidifying partnerships that are vital to our region's growth and prosperity.
Here’s a glimpse into their recent activities that highlight their dedication to fostering collaboration across different sectors.
Building Bridges at the PBC Alliance Breakfast
Earlier this month, several executive members of our chamber, including President Michael Kelly, Vice President Zac Revere and Treasurer John Forrester attended the PBC Alliance Term 3 Networking Breakfast. This event was not just an opportunity to enjoy a morning of inspiring speeches but also a strategic moment to strengthen ties between the business community and the school community.
The breakfast featured influential guest speakers like Mr. Mark Evans, CEO of Gold Coast Suns, Dr. Steve Semaan, CEO and Principal Orthodontist at Clear Smiles Orthodontics, and Mr. Andrew Peach, CEO of Former Origin Greats (FOGs). Their stories of differing paths to success resonated with the attendees, sparking conversations that could lead to future collaborations between local businesses and educational institutions.
The chambers attendance underscores our commitment to supporting initiatives that bring together diverse sectors, ensuring that our chamber remains at the forefront of community engagement.
Representing the Chamber at Karen Andrews MP’s Morning Tea
In addition to the breakfast, our chamber’s Secretary, Sarah Galvin, took the lead in representing the chamber at a special morning tea hosted by Karen Andrews MP, Federal Member for McPherson. This gathering was a heartfelt expression of gratitude towards community organizations that make a difference, particularly those providing essential services such as legal advice and support to veterans and older community members.
The event was not just a recognition of our chamber’s contributions but also a platform for Sarah to connect with other key community groups, discussing ways to enhance our collaborative efforts.
