Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 3 launching Community Fund

Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 3 will launch a Community Fund in early 2024.

Community groups and not-for-profits can apply for a total of $30,000 dollars in funding for valuable grassroots initiatives that align with the values of project partners.

Applicants can apply for up to $3,000 in funds to support initiatives benefitting the community along the project alignment, between Broadbeach south and Burleigh Heads.

Applications will open from Monday 29 January 2024, with funds scheduled to be distributed in mid-2024.

Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 3 includes 6.7 km of new dual-track light rail running from Broadbeach South station to Burleigh Heads, eight new light rail stations and an additional five light rail vehicles.

Works are progressing on the extension, with project completion scheduled for 2025.
