Community Group Mentoring Opportunity
The City of Gold Coast recognises the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on our community. To support our not-for-profit groups, the City is offering a Community Group Mentoring Program.
We are seeking expressions of interest from eligible not-for-profit community groups to participate in six hours of free individualised support from a mentor.
Eligible groups can select one of the following opportunities:
- business planning;
- understanding fundraising and funding opportunities;
- marketing with an online focus; or
- attracting and managing volunteers.
To be eligible community groups must:
- be not-for-profit;
- be located and operate within the Gold Coast Local Government area;
- have a maximum of one full time equivalent staff member located on the Gold Coast;
- hold adequate Public Liability and Personal accident insurances; and
- have 2 to 3 representatives of your group/organisation commit to participate in the program and attend the mentoring sessions (ideally management committee representatives) between December 2020 and April 2021.
