The iconic Gold Coast tourism attraction is celebrating its 75th Anniversary this year, after first opening to the public in 1947 as a small-scale lorikeet feeding display known as the Currumbin Bird Sanctuary.
Owned and operated by National Trust Australia (Queensland), Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has been recognised for its extensive, individualised training programs to suit a workforce spread across multiple industries.
Currently, the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has seven school-based trainees and 91 active vocational students.
