Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary caps off winning year
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has capped off the year with a number of awards including the 2019 Tourism, Hospitality & Events award as part of the Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards.
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, a National Trust property, continues to go from strength to strength with the winning of some major awards in the last month. This includes the 2019 Tourism, Hospitality and Events award at the annual Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards and the Best Unique Venue as part of the Brides Choice Awards.
This is on the back of celebrating winning two Bronze Awards in the Cultural Tourism and Major Tourist Attraction categories at the 2019 Queensland Tourism Awards.
Winning Bronze Awards in both the Major Tourist Attraction category and the Cultural Tourism Award category further cements the Sanctuary as one of the leading tourist attractions on the Gold Coast.
“For an organisation like Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, which has been operating for 72 years, we are very pleased to be operating alongside some of the biggest tourist operators in Queensland.” said Michael Kelly, General Manager of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. "We are incredibly proud to be listed as one of the best attractions in Queensland. It is a great accolade for our hardworking team."
For the past 34 years, the Queensland Tourism Awards have recognised the outstanding achievements of the state's tourism industry.
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to conservation and preserving wildlife for future generations. Owned by the National Trust of Australia (Queensland), Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary reinvests proceeds back to fulfil its mission to protect, conserve and celebrate Queensland’s environmental, built and cultural heritage, funding both the wildlife hospital and conservation programs state wide.
