⚠️ HEAVY RAIN & FLOOD WARNINGS

With heavy rain happening around the Gold Coast the chamber wishes update its members on current warnings and necessary information.

Police say they are braced for “any eventuality” as rain continues and a flood watch remains in place.

The Bureau of Meteorology on Tuesday predicted heavy rainfall would continue throughout the day and into the night and warned flooding is continuing in the Nerang, Pimpama and Coomera Rivers. Warnings are also in place for the Mudgeeraba, Tallebudgera and Currumbin Creeks.

There will be a temporary road closure of the northbound lane of Marine Parade around Kirra Hill due to a landslip. Traffic control will be on site shortly to contraflow all traffic onto the southbound lane. The closure will be in place until further notice.

All Gold Coast beaches will remain closed again today (Tuesday 23 March)
