Light rail southern Gold Coast
It’s time to have your say on the future extension of light rail for the southern Gold Coast.
On Monday 30 November Mayor Tom Tate opened the consultation on the 3rd phase of the Gold Coast Light Rail project. This will be an opportunity for all Gold Coasters to have their say on the proposed routes to join the Airport to the Light Rail at Broadbeach. There are five proposed sections from Broadbeach to the Airport, and Varsity Lakes and or Robina. The consultation takes a number of forms including online or in person at the venues detailed below. Attached is a brochure about the proposals. Please take the time to read it and hop online to complete the survey on the link below.
The Creek to Creek Chamber urges everyone to consider carefully their response and to watch our Facebook page for news of other opportunities to get involved in this vital process for the Southern Gold Coast, the Airport and our vital life blood the tourists and visitors to the Gold Coast.
Mayor Tate said “This survey will provide a number of ideas with indicative maps and options for comment. We want to know what the public’s level of support is and which options they prefer. It’s so important for everyone to have their say on this and I urge you to jump on to gchaveyoursay.com.au to be a part of the city’s positive transport future.”
Anyone who completes the survey has the opportunity to go into the draw to win one of 10 shopping vouchers to the value of $200, thanks to Robina Town Centre. Consultation closes 20 December.
