Statement from the Southern Gold Coast Chamber of Commerce on the Creation of the Office of the Queensland Cross-Border Commissioner
The Southern Gold Coast Chamber of Commerce warmly welcomes the establishment of the Office of the Queensland Cross-Border Commissioner, as announced in the 2024 State Budget. This pivotal development aligns closely with our long-standing advocacy efforts to strengthen cross-border cooperation and enhance economic opportunities that benefit both Queensland and our New South Wales neighbours.
We believe that the introduction of the Cross-Border Commissioner is a significant step forward in addressing the unique challenges and leveraging the shared potential of our border communities.
