Meet the Candidate - Nicholas Bettany
Meet Nicholas, candidate in the by-election for Currumbin
Nicholas joins the Pauline Hanson’s One Nation team as the candidate for the seat of Currumbin in the upcoming by-election on the 28th March 2020.
As a local Gold Coast resident for many years, Nicholas has decided to put his hand up for One Nation to give the people of Gold Coast and Currumbin a viable third option to the two major parties as he feels both parties have lost their way. As a small business owner in the finance industry, Nicholas understands the problems facing everyday Queenslanders with cost of living pressures and the Red/ Green Tape that is holding back small business on the Gold Coast.
Nicholas’ local plan for Currumbin that he will fight for:
- Commit to a ‘Buy Local’ policy for Government Departments for contracts, goods and services and promotion of local Currumbin Small Business.
- Impose mandatory sentencing for assaults against our police, ambulance officers and medical staff.
- Support and advocate for the need for more Dams and the construction of the Hybrid Bradfield Scheme which has been One Nation’s policy since early 2017.
- Advocate for more incentives for our Seniors to help with the rise of cost of living pressures
- No Public Asset Sales
- Say No to the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Games bid as the state cannot afford it nor any bid provide the essential services, infrastructure for the regions outside of Brisbane.
