Member Spotlight: Lee's Environmental
They're proud to be an Australian owned and operated family business supplying liquid waste services since 1980. But there is something even more impressive about this new member.
Located in the Gold Coast suburb of Stapylton, this member has been servicing South East Queensland and Northern NSW for over 40 years. A business with a purpose, the team at Lee's Environmental are experts in liquid waste removal (septic tanks, grease traps, oily water etc), dangerous goods, potable water delivery, dust suppression, hydro vacuum excavation, jet rodding drain cleaning and more. An impressive story of local entrepreneurialism and community focus, this member went from 2 trucks and 2 employees to a fleet of over 30 trucks and over 30 employees.
Having recently secured a tender with Gold Coast City Council, Lee's Environmental decided it was time to extend their family and join the Southern Gold Coast Chamber of Commerce. Looking beyond 2021, the team hold the ambitious goal to increase their client base within the Gold Coast and Northern NSW by 30%. Spokesperson and Office Manager, Natalie Cooper, explains that to achieve this goal she and the team will be working to create new and lasting relationships as well as promotional and online marketing. Already donating 15-20% of our gross annual profit to local and worldwide charities, they'll also be sponsoring the Tweed Seagulls football team.
Saying this member is focused on giving back to the local community and global charities is an understatement. Since 2019, Lee's Environmental donated $15,000 to Queensland farmers to buy feed for their animals, Filled a 27,000 Litre Water Truck to help those in Stanthorpe stricken by the drought, supply the funds to purchase a 4WD vehicle for the Irene Gleeson Foundation orphanage in Uganda and helped build a new home for orphan boys in Myanmar. A mammoth effort from this family-owned business, a community focus that we're excited to welcome.
