Snapper Rocks to Rainbow Bay Foreshore Precinct Masterplan - Industry Update
The Southern Gold Coast Chamber of Commerce recently participated in an industry-specific session as part of the Snapper Rocks to Rainbow Bay Foreshore Precinct Masterplan initiative.
This important project, focused on one of the Gold Coast’s most iconic locations, aims to enhance the area’s natural beauty while ensuring its accessibility, sustainability, and suitability for our growing community.
The session provided an opportunity for key stakeholders, including representatives from the Chamber, to advocate on behalf of local businesses and highlight the importance of connectivity and economic benefits for the community. With over 900 responses to the public survey, the engagement level demonstrates the strong community interest in ensuring this precinct's masterplan is developed thoughtfully, with a vision for the next 20 years.
Currently, the foreshore area is seeing large-scale investment and multiple projects, making this master plan pivotal in guiding future decisions. While the focus remains on the foreshore and recreational park area, rather than residential or business spaces beyond Marine Pde, we believe it's still important that our business community have a say in this process. Events held in this space, and the resulting connectivity, will continue to attract families and visitors, benefitting local businesses and driving economic growth.
The Chamber is proud to have played a role in advocating for better connectivity as well as targeted and appropriate event planning and management that supports local businesses and ensures the foreshore remains an attractive, world-class destination. As always, the Chamber remains committed to representing the interests of our business community and ensuring projects like these deliver long-term value for all stakeholders.
