In a display of solidarity and commitment, the Southern Gold Coast Chamber of Commerce’s very own Vice Presidents, Zac Revere and Josh Yates, undertook a significant journey on behalf of the business community.
In a display of solidarity and commitment, the Southern Gold Coast Chamber of Commerce’s very own Vice Presidents, Zac Revere and Josh Yates, undertook a significant journey on behalf of the business community. Their recent 25km walk from Surfers Paradise to Coolangatta was not just a test of endurance but a powerful advocacy for mental health among small business owners.
The Southern Gold Coast Chamber of Commerce’s participation in the global "Walk for a Bloke" initiative was not only a local event but part of a worldwide movement to shine a light on men's mental health challenges. As Zac and Josh traversed the coastline, with every step, they brought attention to the need for mental health support in our professional circles.
The event saw walks happening across various locations, including London, with the Gold Coast walk ranking as the second-highest fundraiser globally. This achievement highlights the community's dedication and the impactful nature of these walks in raising awareness and funds for men’s mental health.
This walk may be over, but it has started conversations that will continue to resonate within our community. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who participated and supported this cause. Special thanks go to our members and partners who shared their insights and camaraderie on this journey.
Remember, to every small business owner out there, you're not alone on your path. The Southern Gold Coast Chamber of Commerce walks with you.
