The Queensland Government has announced new public health and social measures linked to vaccination

These new social measures will come into place on 17 December 2021 or when Queensland reaches 80% double vaccinated status.

Vaccinated customers and staff will be asked to check in via check-in apps. Businesses will be legally protected for mandating these health requirements. If there are issues with compliance, staff are asked to call the police. Government stipulations have been made that staff make "all reasonable effort" to ensure that customers and staff have checked in and are fully vaccinated.

The new social measures mean that staff and customers must be fully vaccinated from 17 December 2021 onwards, as indicated in the below table.

Eligible Queenslanders still have the opportunity to become fully vaccinated before 17 December 2021, but time is running out. We remind everyone that a mandatory three week period is required between receiving first and second vaccination doses.

For more information please consult the Queensland Government's new restrictions

Current health directives are still in place until 17 December 2021 or until further notice.
