Turning Work Experience into Work Inspiration...
The National Network of the School Business Community Partnership Broker Program, a federally funded program around Youth Attainment and Transition, is looking to pilot “Work Inspiration” in Queensland and would like to invite the Creek to Creek Chamber of Commerce members to participate.
Work Inspirations is a UK wide model mobilising businesses to turn Work Experience into Work Inspiration, to bridge the gap between the classroom and the world of work www.workinspiration.com.
The Work Inspiration campaign addresses two critical needs:
- The business need for employable recruits, the standard of which is improved by engaging earlier with the future workforce.
- The social need to provide young people with a clearer picture of work, to equip them to make decisions about their future career paths and increase their employability.
By becoming a Work Inspiration employer, business of any size and any sector show their intent to rethink the quality and quantity of work experience to the benefit of both the young people and the employees who volunteer to host them during a Work Inspiration placement.
We are looking to trial this model before the end of the year, if possible, with just a few students and businesses. A short training session will be organised for employers.
If you are able to be part of this trial or would like more information, please contact:
