🏆 Two southern GC clubs and proud SGC Members take home gold! 🏆
Following a tough year, two SGC members have stood out as leading examples of how to adapt, change and push-on. Now Clubs Queensland have recognised them for their efforts and named them Clubs of the Year.
Currumbin RSL & Palm Beach Surf Club have both taken home coveted titles and well-earnt awards after the 2021 Keno and Clubs Queensland Awards for Excellence.
Currumbin RSL proudly took home the top title:
🏆 Club of the Year - Grand
The club has said that it was an honour to be recognised and thanked their staff and supporters for getting them through a tough year. Anne Stovin remains a vital business leader on the southern Gold Coast and a shining example of how to build, sustain and connect a business.
Palm Beach Surf Club took home:
🏆 Club of the Year: Intermediate; and most importantly
🏆 Ocean and Marine Protection and Sustainability via Community Education, Engagement and Empowerment.
The Palm Beach club has worked incredibly hard during the covid-crisis and GM Daragh Murphy has become a pivotal member of the chamber's board. Taking home the title of Ocean and Marine protection is a fantastic achievement for a club that actively works to better the environment in the community they love.
