Youth Music Venture launches 4th program for this year

Since 2009, the Youth Music Venture has been a youth music initiative run by amazing Volunteers, for the local community. They teach young musicians how to play in a band - for FREE! They have just launched their next program.

The Youth Music Venture first started in Palm Beach and now works right across the Gold Coast, putting young people (11-17 y/o's) into bands, readying them for all things music, before they perform on stage at the finale concert for each program,
For the first 8 years YMV ran one program per year, but that has grown to 2021 being the biggest year ever, running 4 programs with another 4 already planned for 2022.

One of those programs is in Tweed Heads NSW, where they have been asked to launch, in conjunction with Tweed Shire Council and Seagulls Club!

Program Format - they establish between 4 - 6 bands, based on their performance and interests from the video auditions. Then each week the bands rehearse for 1½ hours at the relevant rehearsal venue with professional musical mentors. They finish each program off with a bang, as all the bands perform onstage like rock stars - for the 2022 programs, that will be at HOTA, Emmanuel College, Seagulls Club and Currumbin RSL!
