Chamber Announces First Life Members
Creek to Creek Chamber of Commerce President Darren Mackintosh has congratulated the Chamber’s first ever Life Members at the 2012 annual awards night.
“The Creek to Creek Chamber (C2C) is pleased to announce its inaugural Life Members, the Honourable Jann Stuckey MP and Roger Campbell,” Mr Mackintosh said.
Jann Stuckey was recognised for her long term commitment to the Currumbin electorate and Small Business having been a member of the Southern Chamber of Commerce for nearly 20 years.
“Ms Stuckey was one of the six founding members of the C2C Chamber and has been a strong advocate for small business and residents of the Southern Gold Coast,” Mr Mackintosh said.
Having recently been appointed the Queensland Minister for Tourism, Major Events Small Business and the Commonwealth Games, Ms Stuckey said being recognised as one of the first life members was truly humbling.
“I am deeply honoured to receive this recognition from my local peers and I am proud to be a member of such a healthy and strong Chamber,” Ms Stuckey said.
Roger Campbell was acknowledged for his dedication to small business in the electorate, having owned the Palm Beach Super Cycle business for 24 years.
“Mr Campbell is also one of the founding members of the C2C Chamber and has been actively involved in local Chambers for a number of years,” Mr Mackintosh said.
“Our decision to recognise Ms Stuckey and Mr Campbell as Life Members shows this Chamber’s absolute commitment to be a long term community group that provides real support for the small businesses on the Southern Gold Coast.
“The C2C Chamber is a group of individual businesses that come together as a single strong voice. We live and work in the region and we love what our region stands for.
“I look forward to this Chamber going from strength to strength and with dedicated members including our inaugural life members the future looks bright for small business on the Southern Gold Coast.
