Titans and SEE Civil wearing beanies for brain cancer

The Gold Coast Titans and Chamber Gold Sponsor SEE Civil have both shown their support for the Mark Hughes Foundation ahead of the NRL's Beanie for Brain Cancer Round.

The Mark Hughes Foundation’s mission is to raise much-needed funds for research, to create awareness and support brain cancer patients and their families, raising over $20 million dollars since inception.

"For us as a business we decided to do a morning tea working with the Mark Hughes Foundation," Josh Yates from SEE Civil said.

Check out the video here of the morning tea that was held.

"It was also about raising awareness for this weekend with the Titans up against Manly.

"Myself and my wife and a big selection of volunteers will be out there selling the beanies so come out and watch a great game of football and get behind the great cause that is the Mark Hughes Foundation."

The NRL's Beanie for Brain Cancer Round began in 2017.  Last year during the peak of COVID, the round still managed to help raised $2.55 million dollars for MHF.

On average, approximately 1970 brain cancers are diagnosed each year in Australia; that is roughly one person diagnosed with brain cancer every five hours.

Brain cancer kills more children, and adults aged under 40 than any other disease.

"All the funds go to the Mark Hughes Foundation and it goes to towards this cause and research."
