State Update with Hermann Vorster – June 2026

Burleigh’s Business Community Deserves the Spotlight

Burleigh is famous for its natural beauty, but our business community is one of our greatest assets too, and it’s time more people knew it.

Across Burleigh, local businesses are creating jobs, solving real problems and taking Queensland products to global markets. I want to help tell those stories, because recognising success inspires the next generation of local entrepreneurs and because these businesses deserve to be championed.

Recently, I had the opportunity to do exactly that. I accompanied the Hon Steve Minnikin MP, Minister for Small and Family Business, on visits to local businesses, putting Burleigh firms directly in front of the minister responsible for supporting them. Businesses like MooGoo Skincare, Fresco Cheese and Bush Tucker Blends have already benefited from programs like the Market Accelerator Grant, and I’m committed to connecting more of our members with opportunities like these.

As someone from a small business background myself, these visits are something I genuinely look forward to. I want to understand what you do, what challenges you’re facing, and how I can advocate for you when it counts.

I’d love to visit your business. If you’re a Chamber member, reach out and let’s make it happen, whether that’s connecting you with a grant, making an introduction, or simply building a stronger working relationship.
